Hi all,
I found out that the Plugwise Source software keeps on scanning the available comm ports during it's normal runtime operation.
So if you start the Source software it keeps on scanning the comports and does not stop doing this?
This is creating a small problem, if you have multiple comports available like I do.
If I start the other programs I very often I get the message from the other software that the comport is not available?
Stopping the source solved immediately my problem.
Any one else facing this?
Also uses resources while continues scanning
Hopefully in next release this problem is solved
Small Plugwise Source Comm bug found (Solved)
Re: Small Plugwise Source Comm bug found (Solved)
There is a solution for this (thanks to Plugwise)
You can tell the Plugwise Source software directly which comport(s) to take.
Make a shortcut for the source software and change the Target in the shortcut to:
"C:\Program Files\Plugwise\Plugwise Source\PlugwisePC.exe" /comport=comX
X = your comport which plugwise uses (check in device-manager which comport you need)
Make a Setting.ini and place in the folder where your source is located normally
C:\Program Files\Plugwise\Plugwise Source
In the settings.ini put
comport="comX"
This works fine, no comport errors with other applications anymore!
