Why do you need two Stick?
The Home basic version will never support that.

In the PRO version this is build in functionality...Reinder correct me if I'm wrong.

Thats what he posted in another tread indeed.
No beta source available for download (not even as beta user :( ), think its a release for a special bug/test.

some weeks ago i had customersupport from plugwise on the phone about this problem. they said that i was the first customer asking for this feature.
they are thinking about it
i don't need the pro version which can adress 50 sticks, for 2 houses that is a little redundant.

Looks like the 2.17 beta has been released with firmware that supports scan and sense for beta testers.

Release notes:
========================================================================================
Please report any bugs to
helpdesk@plugwise.com
Include the version number of your Source application and the firmware date.
========================================================================================

Nederlands:
Lees eerst de instructies in de firmware update handleiding:

English:
Please, read the instruction in the firmware update manual first:

========================================================================================

Plugwise Firmware 2.36, Release 20110513

Fixes:
- SED loses parent and does not reconnect.

Changes:
- Support for Sense and Scan.
- New reset procedure for Circle+, Circle/Stealth/Sting and Switch.

Notes:
- Although is it possible to use modules with older 2.x firmware together with 2.36 modules in a single network, it is not advised. All the modules should be updated to 2.36 as soon as possible.
- When after a seemingly successful update a Switch still has the old firmware version, replace the batteries with new ones and update the Switch again.
- The memory of the modules will be erased. Existing usage data not yet acquired by Source will get lost.

New manual reset procedure:
- Circle(+)/Stealth/Sting: Remove from socket, wait 3 seconds. Plug in, wait 3 seconds. Remove, wait 3 seconds. Plug in, wait 3 seconds. Remove, wait 3 seconds. Plug in, wait 10 seconds. Remove, wait 3 seconds. Plug in. If successful the module will sound a click 3 seconds after you plugged it in.
- Switch: Remove button. Press the top left micro switch (red knob) and hold it during the following procedure. Press and hold the bottom left micro switch for 3 seconds. Release. Press and hold again for 3 seconds. Release. Press and hold again for 10 seconds. Release both. If successful the LED will stay on for a few seconds

Known issues:
- In rare cases, after a firmware update the measured power production is not logged but accumulated over several days. If this happens, clear the module's memory by selecting it in the 'Appliances' screen and click the '0' (zero) button, while holding down the Ctrl key.

Looks like 2.17 has been released, as well as the firmware:
Change log's below.
Don't forget that with the new firmware there is a new manual reset procedure (took me 20 minutes to find out why the circle after updating didn't want to reset)

===============================================================================================================
Plugwise Source 2.17 Release 20110701

This version adds basic support for the upcoming products Sense and Scan. Other than that it’s just a maintenance release with bug fixes.

Fixed (from 2.16):
#2126: Appliances: Cannot set 'Produces energy' on a newly created appliance
#2125: Rooms: Appliances context menu has 'Remove' option enabled.
#2124: Appliances: Cannot add appliance via context menu when no appliance is selected
#1926: Adding used modules as new will read out all old log data
#1924: P1: Data upload fails when P1 telegram contains illegal characters
#1807: Schedules: Production shows up as usage in schedules screen
#1795: Reports: Month or week shows up twice in same graph
#1783: Pro: Joining databases will make switches disappear from groups
#1755: PTE: Plugwise.DeleteTariff() does not work
#1705: P1: Source must delete old P1 telegrams on SLP
#1702: PTE: Plugwise.DeleteGroup() does not work
#1626: Tariffs: Changing tariffs causes crash
#1658: Source contacts license server at startup even when 'allow sending data' is unchecked (no data is sent)
- Several crashes
- German translation update

Changes:
- Added basic support for Sense and Scan
- Added new scripts for the smartphone web interface and the Plugwise iPhone app.

Known issues:
- No Greek manual

Am curious to see what the sense and scan will cost and how they will preform, but there not on there site yet.

Guessing for a reason to need one more powerdown.

Plugwise Source 2.17 Release 20110701
Plugwise Firmware 2.36, Release 20110513
I upgraded 'source' but not yet the firmware (netbook running on batteries, this is not safe for firmware upgrades, never know if you are running out of juice).

Updated earlier this week and all went well. It took about an hour for all modules (9 circles) to get the new firmware etc...

I also monitored the chatter on the connection. The firmware upgrade software is quite nice in what it does, because after the firmware upload it does some checks, saves the last archived data, clears all circles, and then rebuilds the network and adds all circles back. Through the PAN changes, after the upgrade, everything just works as before (except that the buffers are cleared (archived, of historic data instead of buffers sounds more in line with it's use)).

Looks like the wire-protocol for the circles is unchanged, as the usual commands look the same. Found that 'Source' in it's new version is a bit smarter, as it does not query the circles for de callibration-info at every startup (it knows the constants already, because they are in the database, so no need to request again).

Found a small difference. Remember those odd messages between the real protocol packets... Well they changed.

OLD FW2010:
PutFifoUnicast 40 : Handle 7 : [MAC_Circle+]...

NEW FW2011:
# APSRequestNodeInfo: Source MAC: [MAC_Stick]
# APSRequestNodeInfo: Destination MAC: ..[MAC_Circle+]...

but that seems to be just some debug logging info leftovers.
