plugwise stick on remote location
plugwise stick on remote location
i am trying to communicate with a plugwise stick over the internet on a remote location. I use a spider gadgeteeer board with a usbhost to put the stick in , a serial port to connect to a digi serial port server.
the digi realport com port on the computer with the plugwise source program, isnt scanned by the plugwise source , i think because it isnt a ftdi virtual port. i see when the source starts it sends a packet to each ftdi serial port but not to digi realports or prolific virtual ports.
is there an easy way to disguise a virtual comport not from ftdi to a ftdi virtual com port ?

Re: plugwise stick on remote location
try:
setup stick, circle+ and circles local.
plugwise source knows you're stick and circels now, move stick and circes to remote location and insert comport into plugwise config:
settings.ini:
comport=com11 (depends on you're comport)

Re: plugwise stick on remote location
where can i find that file ?
Re: plugwise stick on remote location
you can find it or create it in youre plugwise\plugwise source folder
if you don't have it, create the ini file
if you don't have it, create the ini file
Re: plugwise stick on remote location
thank you very much Akatar , it works i added the file settings.ini with one sentence : comport=com1
Re: plugwise stick on remote location
great, thanks for the feedback
Re: plugwise stick on remote location
does someone know how to define 2 comports for the stick in settings.ini of plugwise ?
with one comport it is
comport=com5
with one comport it is
comport=com5
Re: plugwise stick on remote location
you need a multiple network license.
then just add a second comport in the ini file
then just add a second comport in the ini file
Re: plugwise stick on remote location
i am allowed for two sticks
ini:
comport=com5
comport=com15 ?
ini:
comport=com5
comport=com15 ?
Re: plugwise stick on remote location
thats correct,
first add the stick in the source with plugwiseconfig.
add the second stick etc etc
my settings.ini
comport=com11
comport="ssh://stretch:str821@192.168.1.132:22|ttyUSB0"
first add the stick in the source with plugwiseconfig.
add the second stick etc etc
my settings.ini
comport=com11
comport="ssh://stretch:str821@192.168.1.132:22|ttyUSB0"
