plugwise stick on remote location

Post by labium »

i am trying to communicate with a plugwise stick over the internet on a remote location. I use a spider gadgeteeer board with a usbhost to put the stick in , a serial port to connect to a digi serial port server.

the digi realport com port on the computer with the plugwise source program, isnt scanned by the plugwise source , i think because it isnt a ftdi virtual port. i see when the source starts it sends a packet to each ftdi serial port but not to digi realports or prolific virtual ports.

is there an easy way to disguise a virtual comport not from ftdi to a ftdi virtual com port ?

try:
setup stick, circle+ and circles local.
plugwise source knows you're stick and circels now, move stick and circes to remote location and insert comport into plugwise config:
settings.ini:

comport=com11 (depends on you're comport)

you can find it or create it in youre plugwise\plugwise source folder
if you don't have it, create the ini file

you need a multiple network license.
then just add a second comport in the ini file

thats correct,
first add the stick in the source with plugwiseconfig.
add the second stick etc etc

my settings.ini
comport=com11
comport="ssh://stretch:str821@192.168.1.132:22|ttyUSB0"
