Version 0.5 released

Changelog 0.5:
- Sometimes the IPPower would send a SNMP message not related to the changing state of an input port, this caused the plugin to crash Homeseer. This error has been fixed in this version.

Note: At Enver's system we experienced some difficulties specifying the IP address of the controller. This seems to be caused by DNS not correctly configured on his Homeseer system.

How to do a fresh install:
1. Download the plugin from http://house.klootwijk.org/downloads/hs ... er-0.5.zip
2. Unpack the zip file
3. Copy the database (.mdb) to <your homeseer dir>/Data/IPPower (DO NOT DO THIS WHEN UPGRADING)
4. Copy the plugin (.dll) to your homeseer dir
5. Restart Homeseer
6. Enable and configure the plugin

How to do an upgrade:
1. Download the plugin from http://house.klootwijk.org/downloads/hs ... er-0.5.zip
2. Unpack the zip file
3. Stop Homeseer
4. Copy the plugin (.dll) to your homeseer dir
5. Restart Homeseer

Besides enabling SNMP trap support within the plugin, you have to enable sending SNMP traps on the controller:
1. Open de web interface of the IPPower and login
2. Select the advanced menu
3. Enable the 'Trap when DI has trigged' and 'Send e-mail when DI has trigged' (The last one is a strange one, but I had to enable it in order to start sending traps, no emails)
4. Specify the IP address of your Homeseer system as the 'Manager IP Address'
5. Be sure no firewalls are blocking the UDP protocol on port 162.

I am very interested in the experiences using the SNMP trap feature!

Installed fine, no remarks in the log after runing the whole day. How do I test the SNMP trap?
At the moment I am only using the outputs, guess the SNMP signals come from the inputs?

You can test the SNMP traps, by first enabling SNMP offcourse, and then trigger an input either by a short circuit or putting some power on it dependent on the configuration of you input ports. Triggering an input port should send an SNMP trap which should be processed by the plugin.

Why not? Sometimes it only activates the new settings when rebooted. The IPPower that is.

Did you also specify the IP address the traps should be send to (the manager ip adres)?

Hi Reemster,

Thanks for the offer, but keep your donation for the some future plugin that needs to be developed.
