Connecting Qubino Dimmer (0-10v) to Buva ventilation unit

Hello all,

Last week I bought a Qubino Flush Dimmer 0-10v, type ZMNHVD1. I want to use it to remotely control our home ventilation unit, a Buva Boxstream+.

Currently the unit is controlled via a main control in the living room (Buva Vital Air System). If possible, I'd still like to use that unit as well but it is not a mandatory requirement.

My skills in electronic schematics are not that great, so I made a drawing of how I think I should connect it. Many people have already done this I believe from what I found on the net so far, however I couldn't find a schema on how to do it.

Please have a look at it here, click for a bigger picture:

Wiring coming in from the bottom part of the drawing, are the wires coming from the main control unit. 12v, GND and 0-10v. They are currently connected to the circuit board in the unit.

My questions:
- Is my schema correct?
- Can I split the 12 volt wire to both feed the Qubino and the Buva?
- Can I split the GND wire, to both connect the Qubino and the Buva?

The connector on the Buva has a 12volt output and ground to feed your Qubino. (Some sort of Remote Control connector) so you only need to connect the Qubino and you`re done :D (as far is i can see)

Woops, I thought of it the other way around...! Now it is really easy, thank you!

One more question, do I need to connect the GND to both the power input GND and the 0-10v input GND on the Qubino?

I think you need to connect the:

- GND to the - of the Qubino
- 12V to the + of the Qubino
- 0-10V to the A0 of the Qubino (the 0-10V output pin)

And then perform some testing :D

Already got it hooked up, but my replies on this forum show up late because they need to be approved first :)

I 'dared' to connect the wires already, it's working great! It responds really nice and quick.

Thanks for the initial hint raymonvdm, that made it instantly clear.

Hi,

I use this solution with the KaKu 0-10v dimmer.
However.. I notice issues on the 433mhz because some traffic never arrives the dimmer.

I would love to use the Qubino, but I have 2 questions about this:
1. Is there a Zigbee alternative dimmer to use?
2. Is it possible to connect the Qubino to Toon Thermostat and use it in HomeAssistant?

Thanks in advance,
