Dim Z-Wave lights to percentage

Post by Merdeka »

Hi,

I'm looking into z-wave for dimming a couple of lights that won't be connected to my EIB installation (Schemerlampen).

Can the existing z-wave plug-in dimmers dim to a certain percentage?

So for instance: Dim lamp_desk to 50% or can they only dim while holding down the key like KAKU does?

For me this is important because the biggest step in domotica lighting control is light scenes. I don't switch or dim one lamp.. I change to another light scene..

All on, All off, reading, TV, Movie, Cooking, Party... and so on.

Ok, Thanks for the info.

Is there an affordable plug-in dimmer anyone can recommend that also monitors power usage?

The only one I know for now is http://www.homee.dk/index.php/en/produk ... urer_id=16

But it will properly cost you a fortune to get it send.

Maybe ezHome can make some kind of deal with Homee? :-)

When the QEES comes. They have monitoring to.

I have been told that the new Everspring plugins have monitoring. But I have not seen one in the shops.

The Everspring doesn't have it and there are some webshops selling it

:-)

If you wish I could order some for you, there are some remains at Qees from the Innovus products.

At the savingtrust conference Everspring and one of the other companies from China (I think it was God Way) told us, there plugin modules will have power meters soon.

I don't know what soon is. :-) There where a lot of proto types on that exhibition.

@ezHome not the one with power meter. :-)

It was GoodWay, they already have one.

Everspring didn't mention that feature to me, but they are from Taiwan....and only talk about 20 or 40ft. containers.
