Question regarding fibaro dimmer insert

Post by kriz83 »

Hi,

Don't know if this should have been posted in the Z-Wave forum, so I posted it in the general section.
Feel free to move if it is not in the right place (in that case: sorry for that).

At the moment my lights are controlled via pulse switches. (one press: on, long press: brighten, long press: dim, press: off). On my switch there's an AC voltage of 100-130V or something. When I brighten, the voltage goes up, when I dim the voltage goes down.

Anyway, I want to control this using the Fibaro dimmer (FIB_FGD-211). If I only put this in my switch (don't change anything to the lights), will I then be able to control my light using e.g. Vera. I mean: the fibaro will send an event when the switch is controlled, but am I able to control the fibaro using Vera to turn on my light (or will I have to do something Z-Wave related to the lamps also)?

Thanks in advance !

Kriz
