Woonveilig equipment with Fibaro HC2

Post by jschun »

Hello Guys and Galls(?),

Yesterday I installed my Fibaro HC2 and some great z-wave stuff. Wonderful hobby! :)

I use 'Woonveilig' (Dutch company) for my home security (smoke alarms, move sensors, door/window breakers). Now I'm wondering if I can use all these sensors to work with my HC2.

Does anyone have experience doing so?

Thanks in advance!

Kind regards,
Jerry

As far as I know the Woonveilig stuff is not zwave, not even near. As far as I know it uses 868 Mhz RF and a proprietary protocol.
Kind Regards,
Greg.

Hi Jerry,
I have the same situation... although i am still thinking if i should by the Fibaro of the Vera
What made you chooes the Fibaro?

Anyway 'WoonVeilig' is, as far as i can see, ZWave.
But like E-domotica they have made there own protocol. The Motion-detector, doors-witch, Smoke-detector, camera are all form Zwave companies so you think you should hook them up, somehow

Fibaro is the most promising device on the market when you look at design and quality products. I'm a real fan :) I even started my own Fibaro website to write down all my experiences (in Dutch). If you want to read more why I bought it, please visit my website at http://www.jilteddomotica.nl
