Greenwave Reality open or closed?

Does anyone know with some certainty whether the Greenwave Reality z-wave based energy manager Gateway + portal & apps (also known as Home2Cloud) will also recognise z-wave devices of other brands? I.e. is theirs an open model, or an own brand lock-in model?
