Individual Room Control ELV the MAX! ==> new firmware 1.3.0

Post by blb »

Hi all,

Today ELV released a new version of the MAX!software and firmware. If you start the client or webif, you get the page:
max-portal.elv.de/downloads/MAX_1-3-0_R ... es_ELV.htm

main changes (in German):

Konfigurations- und Steuerungssoftware für das MAX! Heizungssystem. Diese Version behebt ein Problem mit der Zeitzoneneinstellung und enthält Korrekturen und Verbesserungen in der MAX!-Software. Diese Software- und Firmwareaktualisierung wird allen Kunden des MAX! Heizungssteuerungs-Systems empfohlen.

I hope the probblem as digit described on his blog is solved now, see blog.hekkers.net/2011/10/16/max-interfa ... completed/

yes, I have done the update without any big problem. The only issue was the java application did choose an other port. My homeseer script runs as before.

yeah, reading the ELV forum about this MAX! Funk-Heizungsregler-System shows a lot of problems still, including the time sync issue.

I'm currently using 1.3.1, but the only issue they solved in this version is "Haussteuerung war nicht aufrufbar", which was an issue in the java application 1.3.0.. ;-(.

Right, reading the ELV forum ain't good for your mood :(
And the comments of the ELV staff are really good; like "during our tests we have not had your problem" (so it doesn't exist?) and "we will notify the manufacturer" and non-answers like that - really helps a lot!

But that didn't keep me from ordering 2 new Radiator Thermostats

I have currently running 8 thermostats, I don't need more ( I think :) ). Until the type sync issue is solved I have set all thermostats on default 17 and I make the changes via Homeseer.

Hi all,

I have created a separate topic with the latest version of my Homeseer script to monitor & control the Max! Thermostats, see domoticaforum.eu/viewtopic.php?f=66& ... amp;t=6850.

I created a webpage for the MAX! Radiator Thermostats so I can closely monitor their behavior. I've had "some" problems, of which the last one seems to be resolved earlier this evening (that's why the charts still look a bit weird, with temperature setpoints jumping up and down).

Control of the temperatures in the respective rooms/zones can be done from the touchscreen and I developed my own weekly program in my Domotica system, so I don't have to rely on the MAX! Cube for that.

Hi Digit,

One of the rooms is your Living. Does that mean you have a room thermostat (Proliphix NT20e in your case) and thermostatic valves in your living?

The NT20e is still on the wall in the livingroom, but inactive since a year or so; it has been replaced by a Honeywell EvoHome Evotouch (I still have to update my website  ). The livingroom is heated with floor heating.
But we kept 2 radiators there to be able to give the temperature in the living a 'boost' if needed, and those valves on the radiators in the livingroom are there to be able to control the radiators without the need to do that manually.

Once everything is in place (I'm not done yet) regarding controlling the temperature in all the rooms and the MAX! system has proven itself, these radiator thermostats will only be used as ON/OFF (for the boost).
