X10 coupling Visonic

Post by Ruud »

I try by means of marmitek xm10e module. To let Visonic communicate with homeseer. I want to read the status arm/disarm in homeseer. I use software of the visonic. Who me can help me? I don't know how to set x10 address in the Visonic menu.

X10 coupling Visonic

Post by Ruud »

Has the xm10e it's own x10 address or is it only a device that translate x10 code's and what is the purpose ( doel) of two way x10 on visonic?

The XM10 is a device that converts digital signals at 5V level to 120kHz signals on the power line and back from the power line to digital signals.
The XM10 doesn't have an X10 address and this device cannot be addressed. However the visonic panel is configured by the user which X10 house code is to be used by the panel.

The Visonic panel can also work with X10 modules that can return their status (on/off). This 2-way communication can be configured in the panel. (see the installation manual)

If you programmed the Visonic panel to use house code K then L1 will be used for the X10 siren.

PGM is not using an X10 code but is an output on the backside of the panel.
