buying a safe

Post by Noel »

Anyone here who might have some good info on safe's?
A friend of mine would like to buy one (in the Netherlands).

- His budget is 300 euro.
- The bigger the better!
- The harder to get in the better!

Thanks.

Depends what grade you want... Safe-II means it has a single layer of steel, Safe-III has two layers. Sometimes shops use different certifications to show what grade their safes are. Safe-III is around twice the price of Safe-II.

If you just need the scare effect and bolt down the safe to the floor and wall really good, you'll probably be alright with a Safe-II grade. The gunsafes are probably your way to go.

Have a look at Hunter safes (www.kluis.com), they make each vault themselves. So small adjustments don't cost too much. However I've had an unwanted delay, and some friends of my too, so try to make clear expectations and agreements upfront.
