Kitchen equipment - "connected"?

Has anyone looked into the Siemens IQ700 kitchen appliances? I'm reading some conflicting information about the connectivity. iPhone controllable or not? iPhone app functions, etc.
Would love to have an oven & dishwasher that are 'connected'

Ideally, not just 'connected' to a proprietary app but something that can
- be monitored
- be controlled (optional)
..from the outside (API's, compatible protocols that can be captured, etc)

Any ideas?
Are there other vendors that have implemented this technology?
