I need a software that supports solar siren and perimeter

Post by mgiammarco »

Hello,
I need to put a not invasive home security system.
I have found several wireless and solar:

- siren
- perimeter sensors

like these: ebay.it/itm/Fully-Solar-Wireless-Perime ... SwbdpWVFEO

I need to know:

- which wireless standard they use;
- which home automation software (openhab,domoticz.....) can support them;
- if better and less pricey devices exist (I am a newbie).

Can you help me?

Thanks in advance,
Mario

Hi Mario,

Take a look at the Dakota Alert line of products as well (dakotaalert.com/catb2b1/product_info.ph ... ts_id=143), although I don't know if they are easily available in Europe. Their receiver can easily be interfaced into most home automation systems using the contact outputs coupled to a suitable interface. How far away will your sensors be?

Cheers
Al

Thank,
I will check the product and the availability in Europe.
My sensor will be 10 meters away.
If I understand you connect the receiver and so you do not care about their wireless standard, am I right?

I simplify the question.
If you look at these:

ebay.it/itm/100m-Infrared-Beam-Detector ... Sw~bFWJ6Mx

They say that they use RF433 standard.
433 is the frequency but what is the real standard used? rfxcom? How can I understand?

Thanks,
Mario
