Cool! Yes I´m interested in this plugin, gimme gimme :-)
I've bought the same bluetooth module, still waiting for it (from China), so good to hear it works fine.

Great to see all progress. Is it possible that someone updates/ re-programs my catflap system? I could send the print in an enveloppe.
Would love to use it with HS. Probably will use my RS232 -> ethernet unit to get it to my server, because that one is 30mtrs away. Bit far for Bluetooth....

Update:

I flashed my new petporte with the new firmware a few days ago.
Unfortunately, the hardware is changed and the firmware from http://respekt-empire.de/CatFlap/trac
does not work for this hardware revision :-(

I still trying to figure out how to get it to work with this hardware.
Andi from http://respekt-empire.de/CatFlap/trac gives me great support for this, Thanks Andi.
As far as I can see now Pin3 of the PIC is not connected with LM324 anymore,

The bad News is that I don't have a working CatFlap anymore....strange cats are entering my house :-(

The good News is:
I contacted www.petporte.nl and asked if I can order the hardware for the PetPorte.
And Yes! For Only 10Euro they wil send me a new PCB!
I have to say petporte.nl gives a very good service, when my old petporte went defect, they
also send me a new one.

I hope I will get the new hardware working with the firmware as soon as possible!

Hi Yoja,

My PCB seems to have a different clock frequency than Andi's.
Can you tell me what is written on the metal component below the PIC? See attached picture of Andi's board and my board.
Andi's is 19,66 (MHz) but mine has 19,860 (MHz) written on it. The firmware needs to be compiled for the frequency of your board.

Hi Darwusch

My old (defect) board (Pet Porte 2009 Smart Flap Iss E) has a xtal AEL19.66 07/10
My new board (Pet Porte 100-1023 rev x6) has a christal A196H07

Today I received my new PCB. It's a Pet Porte 2009 Smart Flap Iss E.
My catflap is working again with this new board! When I have time I will try to get the Pet Porte 100-1023 rev x6
working with the http://respekt-empire.de/CatFlap/trac firmware.

I'm not going to experiment with my new board............. :-)

I also received a new PCB from petporte.
Sadly it doesn't work with my catflap. It starts up fine, but when I set the program mode as described in the manual, the rfid-chip from my cat is not detected.
I repeated the steps over and over. It still has the original firmware on it.

My guess is that petporte sent me the wrong revision of the pcb.
My original rev was "Pet Porte 2008 - Smart Flap - Iss C", and the newly received was "Pet Porte 2009 - Smart Flap - Iss E".
The original seems to have a clock frequency of 19,860 (MHz) and the new one has 19,6608 (MHz) written on it.

This morning I contacted petporte about this by email, hopefully it was a mistake and they can still deliver the original revision of the pcb.
Luckily I can still use my original pcb which works fine with the original firmware.

Now I received an Iss D from Petporte. It has the same frequency as Iss C and it worked with original firmware with my flap.
I then tested Andi's firmware on Iss D but it didn't work, strange behaviour and not possible to program an rfid chip. Also I recompiled the firmware with the frequency of my flap, but same result.
Andi's firmware was made for Iss E.
I noticed that Iss C, D and E have all minor differences in the layout or the components on the boards. See attached pictures.
Iss E has resistance R25 placed near the xtal in stead of under the Rx board, and also the Rx boards are different.

I got it working now with Andi's firmware!
After looking at pcb Iss D and E, I noticed only real differences on the Rx board.
So I used Iss D with the Rx board from Iss E. And I compiled the firmware for the xtal frequency of Iss D (19,86 MHz).
And that combination works. I could program an rfid chip and the flap opened.

The reason is probably because Iss D uses the right xtal frequency for the flap coil that I have, and Iss E has the Rx board with the comparator connections for which Andi's firmware is written.

so when can we expect a guide for domotica dummies to integrate this catflap in eg homeseer ? i know something about programming but chip frequencies is above my head .

I'm working on a Homeseer plugin for the catflap. It's almost done.....
have to do some code cleanup and testing.
With this plugin it is possible to monitor your cats in Homeseer :-) trigger events and set mode.

If anyone is interested, I can upload it to this message board when it's finished.

i am interested , i have two catflaps , an old one and a new one.

Same here, 3 cats, two flaps (old/new) and of course HS :-)
It all sounds very promising.
Time for some flashing what is the best choice at the moment? Flash the old or new one, or it does not matter anymore?

This worked only one time :?
I can not reproduce it. Andi helped me with the timing constants but it still didn't work.
I'm still trying.

At the moment I got it working again. Only the range of the detection is not as good as the original firmware. Probably another algorithm of detecting the bits would help. To be continued...
