868 USB Transceiver

Hi,

is there some experience with 868 MHz USB Transceivers / Hacking? I've found:

which looks like for general 868 MHz use and

special for Heating Thermostat Programming but may be only a matter of the Software used and cheaper and I want to use it for controlling that thermostats.

I would like to start whit sniffing whats gogin on on 868, is there some knowledge how this can be done with these devices? Another universal seems to be
