Remeha Avanta Boiler Reliability Survey

This isn't a question about boiler control's so I hope it's in the correct Forum.

Sales of the Remeha Avanta boiler were stopped recently in the UK and I am trying to find out why. When I asked the question on a UK plumbing and heating Forum most of the replies, from installers, implied that they were no good, always breaking down etc. That it not my experience over the past 5 years.

I would be interested in the experience of any Avanta users on this Forum.

Have you found the boiler reliable?
If not, why not?

Over 900 views and not a single reply after four weeks. Does that mean no one owns an Avanta boiler? Or maybe they don't want to admit they own one!

PS I am interested in the experiences of all Avanta owners, not just those in the UK.

I haven't had any issues with mine in over 4 years of ownership.

I don't have one.
(but I do have a Nefit Topline HRC30CW5, which has had two burner replacements (factory warranty) in the first three years of service, and that machine is still on the market ;-)).

grtz,

Just moved into a house with Avanta boiler installed, it seems it's been running for ~ 7 years with no issues. I noticed it really quite, but I can only compare it to one old boiler.

My boiler was replaced with a Remeha Avanta 28c + iSense thermostat in Dec. 2009. So far had no issues even when I let the water pressure drop to well under 2 bar after forgetting to top up the water level. :-(
I do have somebody come around once a year to check/service it.

I live in NL so don't know about Remeha sales in UK. Over here it's highly regarded in all the reviews and is popular with over 1m installations.

Obligatory disclaimer: I've no connection with Remeha, don't own any of their shares and my granny doesn't sit on their board of directors...
