P1 signal inverter not working

Hi All,

Yesterday the installed an ISKRA AM550 in our home. I am now trying to read the data from the meter and as expected the data is garbage as it's inverted:

Code: Select all

Pdd$%$p@I"drDv%ODI'@,@@DDBD

8D@o#%c Cd$C#DD`

RDGed{DDPE:Fl@2Gt(Td$B
D

RB#GH^E `DdO'``,@
DDBE$D1DGd
I now want to build an inverter to connect the data directly to the GPIO pins of the Raspberry Pi. I have found this [link url=https://wiki.pieper.eu/slimme-meter-uitlezen-1]site[/link] that show a schema how to build the inverter.
So I tried to build something myself first using a breadboard. I have built this to invert the signal.

However when I connect it all I no longer get data. Did I mis interpret the schema?

I hope someone could help me out as I am not seeing what I am doing wrong.

Many thanks.
