UNsmart Gasmeter

I have a 20 year old gasmeter without reflecting part on the counter.
I also tried to catch a signal with hall-effect sensor.
I even asked kindly to energy provider to replace the meter wtih recent version, because it makes an abnormal noise from time to time. But they won't (nothing to worry about).

Now I wonder if someone has an idea to log the meterings from such a meter (without writing it down ;-)).

Hope to find a solution. My temperature and current loggings works like a charm (logs to mysql database and worked out with php).

If you are willing to pay a small amount you can ask for priority replacement at your Ned Beheerder (e.g. Liander) they gladly replace your old Fashioned meter for a smart one (see earlier post from myself/digit/bwired)

I have the same issue with the gasmeter. I want to use Eneco Toon but the gasmeter(1979) has no reflective digit. Stedin is willing to replace but i need to pay 100 euro for it. Toon without gas is not available. (Too Bad Eneco)

This is the gasmeter

Start complaining that your gasmeter makes a lot of noise ;)
