DIY otg (usb) wrong polarity pins 5-14 of IC1

Post by 2mv »

So I did solder my DIY gateway myself and granted it was the first time I did solder anything, now I have a wrong polarity on pin 5 and 14 on IC1. (the polarity on IC2 pin 15-16 is ok)
I can't figure out what I have done wrong. I double checked that all is in the right spot, but there has to be something wrong, but what would that be?

What do I have to check? Where do I begin?

Best regards, Herbert

The only way I can see that happening is if you start counting at the wrong corner of IC1. Note that the orientation of IC1 is rotated by 180 degrees as compared to IC2. Refer to the assembly sheet to figure out where GND and +5V should be.

Hahaha, oh boy, your absolutely right. To my defense: it was late already?
But I can say that you can spend lots of time troubleshooting if you can't see the obvious.
Thanks for your help.
