Hello,
For the home automatization i want to control the heating system with a Raspberry Pi. I can control it by using a relay but i want to use to opentherm technology for using the heating with modulation.
Is the opentherm Gateway a product i can use? Can i connect it to a raspberry pi and send and receive data to the heating system?
The heating system i have is a Nefit ProLine HRC 30 HR CW5
I am a programmer but i haven't done anything with opentherm yet.
Thanks for your help!
Raspberry Pi with Opentherm Gateway?

Re: Raspberry Pi with Opentherm Gateway?
From the manual I get the impression that the Nefit ProLine HRC 30 HR CW5 doesn't support Opentherm. So then the OTGW will not be able to work with it.

Re: Raspberry Pi with Opentherm Gateway?
You will need an EMS-OT converter to talk to that boiler through OTGW. Available from EUR 50.-- upwards.

Re: Raspberry Pi with Opentherm Gateway?
Thank you,
If i buy the EMS-OT converter, can i modulate the boiler like this connection:
Raspberry PI -> OpenTherm Gateway -> EMS-OT -> Nefit Proline HRC 30 HR CW5
So i can make a software programm that sets the temp and the boiler modulates?
Thanks again for your help!

Re: Raspberry Pi with Opentherm Gateway?
No one knows if this works?
And do i need to add a thermostat or can i use the raspberry pi to set and receive the temperatures?
Thank you very much!
