otmonitor not starting on angstrom linux

Post by cschaake »

I want to use the OTGW on my beaglebone black running angstrom OS. I've connected the OTGW using the USB cable.
I can read the output on the serial line using minicom. I get the T and B codes every few seconds.

Now I want to start the otmonitor. I've downloaded otmonitor-ahf and tried to start it. The first time it gives the error message that the ld-linux-armhf.so.3 library is missing. After some googling I found the solution to create a symbolic link from this lib to ld-2.16.so. But now I get a "Segmentation fault".
I also tried to build it again using tclkit, but same error.

Linux version 3.8.13 (koen@rrMBP) (gcc version 4.7.3 20130205 (prerelease) (Linaro GCC 4.7-2013.02-01) ) #1 SMP Thu Sep 12 10:27:06 CEST 2013

I guess that you downloaded wrong binary version.
Did you really downloaded version for Linux-x86 (64 bit) or Linux-x86 (32 bit).
If so, can you post md5sum of downloaded version?
This is how it looks on my Linux:

me@foo$ ./otmonitor -v
Opentherm Monitor version 4.2.4.1
me@foo$ md5sum otmonitor
ea731a36891cc04426d14a94db0f3326 otmonitor

I guess that means that otmonitor/tclkit compiled for a Raspberry Pi is not compatible with your beaglebone black. You may have to build a tclkit from scratch. See: http://kitcreator.rkeene.org/fossil/index
