Opentherm gateway not working

Post by sagazine »

My gateway doesn't work. Also a friend has a working gateway but mine doesn't work at his home.
Everything works fine but nog boiler signal. I update the firmware. Webserver works.
When I run the diagnostics following appear.
Opentherm gateway diagnostics - Version 1.1

1. LED test
2. Bit timing thermostat
3. Bit timing boiler
4. Delay symmetry
5. Voltage levels
6. Idle times

Enter test number: 5
Thermostat: 3.01
Boiler: 0.00
Reference: 1.21

I think it's something with hardware but what can coause this?

These look exactly like the numbers I would expect for this test if it is run without a thermostat and boiler attached. However, the instructions specify that the voltage level test "should normally be performed with both a thermostat and the boiler connected".

Hello,

Thanks for the reply. When thermostat and boiler are connected I see thermostat messages but no boiler messages. A friend has a working gateway. He tested my gateway but it fails at bolier messages. Is there a way to test the boiler connection?

Start at the 3rd paragraph of the Opentherm interfaces troubleshooting section (Note: IC1 should not be plugged into its socket for these tests).

If that all looks good, you can run tests #4, #3, and #5 of the diagnostic firmware, with the connections as described by each test.
