Error 01 never

Post by Dylantje »

Dear all...

My otg works for months without any problems...
Yesterday my OTG usb with firmware version 4.2.5 stop working, icm with Domoticz.
No communication is on the thermostat display.
In the log, i see only error 01, ..
In the manual they says there is a power problem

My strange thing...
I did make no change @ all.
Works for months, without any problem
I try to give the OTG some more power [ F5 ] , no solution
Less power no solution..
Is there it a problem to set the value higher then, 1.667V? [ what can there go wrong, with this high setting? ]

So help or something please....

The voltage setting is a reference voltage. Anything below the reference is considered to be 0. A voltage above it is a 1. Increasing the reference voltage doesn't give the OTGW "more power". It will just assign 0 to a larger voltage range.

The only thing that can go wrong with an incorrect reference voltage is that some 0's are interpreted as 1's or the other way around, resulting in failure to interpret a message. No permanent damage will occur.

Thanks!!!

Only why after 4 months very good working.....

I'm not sure where you found that error 01 means there is a power problem. The documented meaning of error 01 is that "[l]evel changes happen too rapidly". This can happen if the transitions from low to high and/or high to low are not clean. Instead of a single transition, the signal bounces a few times as depicted in this image:

By default, the OTGW ignores these bounces. You must have enabled the detection of such events at some point. Just issue the command "IT=1" to disable error 01 detection again.

F5, then switch on "Ignore multiple mid-bit transitions"

Looks simple.

Are all my other setting ok now/???

What is the best way to start up the OTG..
First the usb and then the power.
Or first power and then usb...
