iSense: activate setpoint override

Post by Punkt »

Hi all,

i now was able to connect my otgw with my Remeha Tzerra and my Remeha iSense.
The gateway sends all the data that it reads from the OT connection and this seems to work properly.

My actual problem is, that the display of my iSense is not working anymore.
Admittedly it gets blue when i push any button - but this is the only thing that happens.
The display is not displaying anything.
For the rest it seems to work:
If i turn the little wheel i see in the log that the room setpoint increases or degreases.

So the idea was to change the room setpoint via the otgw.
But there seems to be my problem:

It doesn't matter what setpoint i set via otmonitor or via TC-Command:
The setpoint remains on the same value.

I also tried to wait for something around 12 minutes - but no change.

Then i read that this option has to be turned on in the iSense.
Unfortunately i did not see my menu on the display...

So i have two questions:
1. is it possible to turn this option on in another way?
or - if not -
2. Which setting must i make to turn this option on?

I did study the installer manual - but i didn't find any option for "override room setpoint" or similar.

Thank you in advance and kind regards

Michael

i rereaded my post and think there could be a misunderstanding.

My display was not working already before i installed the otgw.

In our house we have two appartments which were heated via the Remeha Tzerra.
For a time the iSense Thermostat was installed in just one appartment.
Because for us it made no sense to control the central heating with the temperature of just one appartment we took the iSense into the room in the cellar where the boiler is installed.
But now after the Display is not working anymore we had no possibility to control the boiler anymore.

So my intention was to control the central heating via the otgw.
This just for the background of my question. :-)

Thanks for any help

I was confused by your remark at first, but concluded that the display not working was unrelated to connecting the OTGW.

The setting you need is "Settings -> Installer -> Remote Input" (Dutch: "Instellingen -> Installateur -> Externe ingang"). Depending on the firmware version of your iSense, that setting may not even be there. So changing the setting without a working display is going to be quite a challenge. I don't expect there will be any other reasonable way to change the option.

If the display stopped working when you moved the iSense, it may just be a loose connection somewhere. Have you tried opening the device to look for a problem like that?
