@cowboy02, @ericplan: jullie hebben een PM.
Re: [Poll for interest] OpenTherm Gateway pcbs
Didn't visit the forum for a couple of days and look what I missed...
First off all I strongly believe in choice and open hard- and software. Well almost any open project except OpenTherm which isn't that open.
Schelte has been kind enough to share AND maintain his project with the community, which is a great gift. He provides several ways to obtain a pcb. Among etching it yourself or outsourcing it to a fab he also suggests that "community members" order a batch and sell the remainder. He even facilitates that by letting anybody with pcbs announce that on the project site.
So if flue wants to offer a pcb service he has every right to do so. If he wants to order 50 pcb's sure go ahead.
Before Lennart some others have offered pcb's as well.
Has the way flue started his service been the most sensible, I'll doubt that. Lennart provides a great service at a marginal cost. If you really need one that quickly there're more ways to obtain a pcb at short notice than buying 50 and selling the remaining 49. That doesn't make much sense to me. So the fallout on flue doesn't surprise me and I fully understand Lennart's reaction. But everybody has a right to choose in this matter. Just as you fab your own pcb you can now order the pcb from to sources. It' not all about cost in this case there's also quality and service.
I do hope that lennart will continue his service. Let everybody offering a new service directly cutting into an existing service of a community member please think about doing so in advance. Remember this is a community and members are helping each other, this is not a commercial cut-throat market. Consideration and respect are very important.
So thank you Lennart for your service.
And many thanks to Schelte Bron for sharing AND maintaining is design.
Edit:
I wrote that Lennart's pcb had gold finish but that was only the first batch, not anymore.

Hi Lennart / Flue, good to read that you both have resolved the disagreement.
I like to order a PCB from either one of you, so could you put me on the list too?

Hi Lennart,
Can you please put me on the list also?
If your soldering service is still available I would really like to opt for that, of course at increased costs.
Please let me know.
Kind regards,
Sander

Re: [Poll for interest] OpenTherm Gateway pcbs
I would like to get my hands on such a nice PCB too.
Also, I'm available to program chips on Tuesday evenings in Revelation Space, the hacker/maker-space in The Hague.

@Lennart: any idea when you are going to order new ones (including mine)?
Re: [Poll for interest] OpenTherm Gateway pcbs

Re: [Poll for interest] OpenTherm Gateway pcbs
@ralhop: You ordered a pcb on November 20 (see page 6 of this topic) but didn't respond to any of my PMs. Please contact me a.s.a.p. by e-mail if you are still interested (address is in the PM I sent to you). Otherwise, I'm afraid that I'll have to remove you from the list.
Thanks!

@Lennart
Als je er nog eentje over hebt, zou ik die graag inclusief solderen willen "bestellen".
Groeten,
Albert
