Upgrading to fw 4.01 giver error 03 from boiler

Post by Slorf »

Hi there,

This evening I upgraded my otgw to fw 4.01, when I put it in gateway mode after updating I only see messages from the thermostat and error 03, no messages from the boiler.

When I put the otgw in monitor mode there are no errors

Reverting back to 3.4 solves the problem

Boiler: Remeha Calenta
Thermostat: Remaha ISense

Anyone ?

Regards

This is strange. I have tested the gateway with a Remeha iSense and a Remeha Avanta. I would not expect the Calenta to behave so very different.

One difference might be that the Calenta supports Smart Power. After you flash the firmware it takes time for the gateway to learn that the thermostat supports Smart Power. If the boiler and/or the thermostat is in medium- or high power mode at the end of the flash procedure, communication may be out of sync. You can try to power off the gateway for a short while after you loaded the new firmware. After power up the iSense soon reports its smart power support and the boiler should be in normal power mode.

If that doesn't help, can you show a log of the communication (or lack thereof)? It would also be helpful if you could load the diagnostic firmware and run test #3.
