Thanks, that's very helpful. I think I have an idea what might be going on. Now to fix it.

The gateway doesn't have a clock, so it doesn't know the concept of midnight. Possibly the gateway went through a reset at some point during the night for some reason.

I sent you an experimental version of de firmware which hopefully fixes the problem. Please let me know either way.

Thank you so much!
This seems to have fixed the problem.
I'll keep an eye on the log files for the coming few days.

Thank you for reporting. This probably also fixes the trouble I've seen with the gateway not always detecting when an opentherm thermostat was connected again. But whenever I wanted to investigate that, I could never reproduce it.

Hi,

I did not perform all the tests mentioned in this post yet. But my gateway does not seem to respond to signals from my on/off thermostat. Can this be the same problem? What do I need to test if this is the same problem?

The easiest test is to execute the serial command DP=5E. If you then see values other than 5E=00 or 5E=10, you probably have the same problem.

Hi,

I receive DP=20 or DP=30 messages when I send the DP=5E command. Would the new firmware solve this issue? I'll be glad to test it. If you need any results from the tests, please let me know what to monitor.

Yes, that's the same problem. Looks like I should release the new firmware sooner rather than later.

Edit: Firmware 4.2 is now available.

I installed the 4.2 firmware and the gateway responds correctly to the thermostat commands now. Thanks for the quick repair and release!
