How to test fibaro smoke sensor? FGSS-101

Post by DrDoo »

As the tittle says....how do i test if the FGSS-101 really works?
I held it above steaming water for about a minute but nothing.
I've lith 2-3 matches right next to it and nothing.

What is the best way to check if they aren't malfuntioning?

Take a small piece of paper and light it up! Do it under the detector and it will start function.

You also could consider buying a can of test gas. It's specially designed for testing smoke detectors. Google should help you finding a supplier.
