ViaSens 100 is a complete USB controller for Z-Wave networks. It work together with many 3rd party software packages. Seluxit offers a PC control software, which is free of charge but still in beta status. Please refer to www.seluxit.com for the most recent version.

Unlike many competing products viaSens 100 does not use a simple USB-Serial converter chip but emulates a true USB CDC (communication device class). This makes installations much easier. For Linux there is not even a device driver needed and the device driver for windows is just a simple .inf file.

viaSens 100 is explicitely supported b the Linux Home Media Gateway LinuxMCE . viaSens is typically used on a USB port of a PC but can operate stand alone with an exernal power supply. This particularly useful if used in Z-Wave networks with battery powered sensors. Its own power consumption is minimal (< 1 W)
