Somehow it looks i just have to keep on buying RS232 -> Ethernet devices...
This week i bought a Sollae EZL-400S. Cost: EUR 195. I know, it looks like a lot of money but you get 4 serial ports for it.
Features:
- 10/100Base-T Ethernet, auto MDI/MDX
- Supports IEEE802.11b : PCMCIA Wireless LAN card interface
- RS232 x 4 (up to 115,200bps, DB9-M interface)
- Powerful security function : SSL3.0/TLS1.0, Password
- Supports EAP-MD5
- Supports communication with variety of TCP/UDP hosts(TCP Server/Client, UDP)
- Supports DHCP and PPPoE for xDSL and cable network
- Easy configuration utility via network for Windows OS (ezConfigMP)
- Virtual COM Port Redirector 'ezVSP' for Windows
- Firmware is upgradable through network
Just like the 2 Sollae EZL-200F's i have, this device works very good, no problems yet. You can assign a single IP address and a port for each RS232 port or assign a different IP address to each COM port.
Currently I'm using this device in my office for testing purposes with a new RS232 interface. However, eventually this device will be moved to where the fuse box is; i need 3 RS232 ports there in the near future, so this device is worth the money.
