I tihnk somebody asked for something like this some time ago, 149,- euro's a gsm switch..
is perhaps a nice thingy if your home automation breaks down, but have it connected to for instance your electric door (assuming it runs on battery's/accu too)

I have just connected it to my Networx NX-8E alarmpanel. This way I receive SMS on alarm output, and open the frontdoor while disabling the alarm. I chose to connect it to my alarm so I would receive an SMS alert without being dependent on my domotica system. However I cannot send any variable data in the SMS, just some preprogrammed text.
