I'm not so sure that we can have confidential analisys and results with this gadget. We should need gascromatography :) . Only the smoke of a single cigarette contains more than 100 substances with potential cancer activity.....i think that it measures simply the density (particle size) of air and not with micrometer range normaly used :) , and how much podwer is moved by the pc's fans where usb is plugged ? Mmhh...

It,s only a simpel masurement but its give a indication.
If the air is good or bad.
My last Sigaret i smoke is about 22Years ago.hahaha
I have also a co2 device cost about 400 Euro used in schools's
its give the same readings.
You can extend the device with a usb to ethernet extender
and place him away from the pc

Hi Ed, i've seen th user guide and it's not clear if it measures CO2 (the name should mean yes..). there are some info about powder and carpets, but only organic reactions and animal breath produce CO2.
This device (not so expensive...) has rj45, accuracy and can trigger fans

Hello,

I think you should discover SenseAir OEM module - http://www.senseair.se/oem.php

They have really many options and prices are not bad at all. For example check http://www.driesen-kern.de/shop/ and then CO2-Fühler and OEM. You find very intresting prices on the second page.

Personally I will use Elsner KNX AQS/TH because I can get it with reasonable price and it provides also a temperature and rH reading and PI control options in quite acceptable package (http://www.elsner-elektronik.de/knx-sen ... cf8939f1f5).

But for DIY this SenseAir module should be really interesting. BTW, one KNX product from ArcusEds is using this module.
