I am Kodjo Kouwenhoven and one of the founders of Thermosmart. I would like to give some insights in our product. First of all, we do have a lot of Chiefs but we do not have the income you might expect. In fact, we have put in several years of work without payment what so ever. We do this because we believe in our product.

To answer some questions:
- Yes, we will support opentherm from januari 2014
- Yes, with Opentherm the boiler will modulate
- Yes, we discussed an API. We will make one but our first priority lies in Opentherm. We see that an API would open all sorts of new possibilities developed by others. As I said before, we do not recieve an income yet. This is because we have no money. The product is ready but we need to finance the first order of parts (mainly PCB). We have started the crowdfunding campaign on http://www.oneplanetcrowd.nl/projecten/thermosmart

I would help us a lot if you guys bought a Thermosmart!

Is there a option that the thermosmart works without your portal.
So only the hardware with option in a domotic program? [ like domoticz? ]

I am sorry, but our Thermosmart is only programmable by our portal. This is due to the privacy of customers; we have to be very careful with security. We have plans for an API but is is not on our "high priority" list.

We have our API ready for Beta testing. You can program the agenda, make exceptions, set the temperature and a lot more. we think you'll love it. Please send an email to api@thermosmart.nl if you are interested. Please, in Englisch as our programmer David is a Czech.

ThermoSmart aims on non-tecnical public. Thats why ThermoSmart hosts the API, database and the portal to program the ThermoSmart.
