You mean the output during the process, or can I find a logfile somewhere?

See https://pastebin.com/raw/hVG6kK03

Could it be that the problem is in here...?

Code: Select all

Warning: upgrade script from source server is changed. Do you want to continue downloading the files (if not sure, type no and report in the forums)?
Because the preparation and upgrade both are ready in 1 second (and stuck at 0%)

Code: Select all

Starting the upgrade prepare option which downloads all necessary files. No upgrade is done yet.
Progress: 0% .
Done preparing.
Are your sure you want to upgrade to 4.10.6 (yes)? This is the last moment you can stop the upgrade. Answer with 'yes' will start the upgrade.
yes
Starting the upgrade now! Just wait a while... It can take a few minutes.

No I don't think that the changed script is causing this.

Could you check/show me the /mnt/data/update/upgrade-qb2.sh.log file?

I Could, but I don't have a directory "data" in /mnt

To be precise, the dir /mnt is completely empty.

Owh then it is located in the old /HCBv2/tmp/opkg-cache location

could be that ToonStore is already installed earlier, in that case opkg skips installation.
Can you try 'opkg remove toonstore' first and then run the updater again?

Removed as you said.

I think your /etc/hosts file is broken.
Normally, if the VPN is started, the host entry for 'feed.hae.int' will be added in there but it is not working for you.
Please post the contents of the /etc/hosts file

Just reboot to make sure.
Then do a "ps -w |grep openvpn" to see if openvpn is started. If yes..
Then try "opkg update" It should give you a lot of output.
Don't worry. That command doesn't do anything. It's just checking if the list of new packages can be downloaded.
If it stalls or says something in the line that says "failed", then post back.
If above fails you can try to manually enable openvpn by issuing
"/usr/sbin/openvpn --config /etc/openvpn/vpn.conf --verb 0"
Then try "opkg update". If it stalls or says something in the line that says "failed", then post back.

I would not start the openvpn manually (without the upgrade script). This will allow your Toon to connect to the servicecenter and therefore overwrite the scsync.xml file which contains your subscription etc. You need to restore those settings afterwards again then.

I'm pretty sure his /etc/hosts file is wrong. I have seen multiple old versions of toon not updating the /etc/hosts file correctly.

I have had troubles with the hosts file, I was sure I've already posted it somewhere (here or domoticz forum) but can't find it back.

The problem was that the hosts file was changed everytime with the known entries, but then all on one line, like:

Code: Select all

# <persistent /etc/hosts content from /etc/hosts.template file>127.0.0.1 ping.quby.nl127.0.0.1 feed.hae.int feed
One of the reasons I wanted to do a upgrade.
My current hosts file is:

Code: Select all

# <persistent /etc/hosts content from /etc/hosts.template file>
127.0.0.1 ping.quby.nl
127.0.0.1 feed.hae.int feed
# </persistent /etc/hosts content from /etc/hosts.template file>
127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost
172.19.96.1 feed.hae.int feed
So, with double entries, and the quby entry here? (If I am not mistaken that one should be in hosts.template?)

Just removed the upper part, try the upgrade again, but the hosts file is now again the same with double entries.

His old version had a problem with the hosts.template file. Once corrected the updates went fine.
