- Humidity sensor: not confirmed yet, but looks like an temp/humidity integrated sensor
- SD cardslot: not available, wrong information
- Ability to control smart valves: this is a software feature and not specific to the new Toon
- Ability to connect multiple sensors simultaneously: this is a software feature and not specific to the new Toon
- Zigbee: confirmed, however not yet available in the software
- Wifi chip AR6003 with support for 5Ghz.: no, another wifi chip (with only 2.4ghz). The AR600x information was based on a source who had the wrong information

Do you mean to imply that this functionality will be available for the Toon Gen 1 as well?

Multiple sensors (meteradapters) is already working, AFAIK.

Yeah, I get that. :D

I meant to quote a smaller part, but thanks for pointing it out anyway.

And the app strvSettings is also already in 4.15.6 (only hidden and not finished yet as it seems). strv stands for smart thermostat radiator valve
When you enable that app the toon disables the whole thermostat function. Not sure why they choose to do this. Future will tell us what they will do with this function.

@TheHogNL

Seems you have had some time to play with the new hardware. Can you share photo's of internals, etc here?

Cheers!

No not yet. I'm waiting for the official launch of the device. I promised Eneco to allow them to show the device first. For me, that includes the internals also.

Freescale (NXP) iMX6 op 1.2GHz (used to be Freescale 400Mhz)
Most likely a i.MX6Dual or Quadcore since every i.MX6 under 1.2Ghz is single core.

The i.MX products are qualified for automotive, industrial and consumer markets. Most of them are guaranteed for a production lifetime of 10 to 15 years.
i.MX27 (2007) The processor in Toon 1 is a i.MX27@400mhz. Just for reference. Toon 1 was production ready around end of 2010 or so. (Production started 2011)
i.MX6 (2011) It would be a suprprise if it's really an I.mx6 based on a 10-to-15 years life span.

Hi Ierlandfan,

iMX6SX, to be precise. Not sure about the clock frequency, though.
