Commonplease.... you have ROOTed your toon.. so what should the username be...

Argh. I tried admin, user, nothing, Toon and even Eneco and nothing would work. In hindsight it is logical. Doh!
It worked flawlessly and I am updated! Thank you for your help. Onto installing the Toon Store!

For that, just read the rooting manual https://www.domoticaforum.eu/viewtopic. ... 235#p82533
(just run the update-rooted.sh script with option -f )

user mostly is: root
and pwd: toon

worked for me :)

I did not install those yet because I figured I'd update first. I redid the rooting process and made sure I have the right password. I used putty and the build in SSH in the Raspberry Pi. Both gave me an access denied (what is the username? Putty asks me for one..).
I made sure the Toon shows up in the router and the static IP is correct. I also made sure I was using port 22 (otherwise I do not even get the option to enter a password).
Why does it keep telling me access denied?

Hi, I'd like to upgrade my toon, which is running on version 4.10.6.

I've downloaded the script, yet my VPN won't come up:
Code: Select all
toon:~# ./update-rooted.sh
===================================================================================================================================================================
Welcome to the rooted Toon upgrade script. This script will try to upgrade your Toon using your original connection with Eneco. It will start the VPN if necessary.
Please be advised that running this script is at your own risk!

Version: 4.16  - TheHogNL & TerrorSource & yjb - 25-12-2019

If you like the update script for rooted toons you can support me. Any donation is welcome and helps me developing the script even more.

It seems that your VPN key is invalidated bij Eneco/Quby. You will need to get a new key from a donor Toon. I you contact me in a PM I am happy to sell you a key from a broken Toon (so not used anymore).

For example yes. Or start the update-rooted script manually.

It is for rotating the tiles when your screen is dimmed.

I'm new here, so sorry for stupid questions or actions....

I bought and rooted my Toon using an RPi with martenjacobs/ToonRooter and ToonSoftwareCollective/update-rooted. Thanks for all the work to help us out.

Unfortunately I selected the latest firmware 5.25.8. The Toon is functioning fine and SSH works fine. But I do not see the Toonstore?! I tried using updating the Toonstore by using https://cyberjunky.nl/updating-rooted-toon-5-9-6/. No luck.
Shouldn't I have installed 5.25.8 and is there a way back? Or should I do some additional stuff to get this up and running?

Hope you guys can help me.

first of all, you should get your information here on this forum and not some website which isn't supported by the TSC-team :)

Did you upgrade the Toon to the latest firmware 5.25.8 and did you run the fix at the end of the script?
you can run the fixes manually by using the -f parameter: sh update-rooted.sh -f
