It Seems like the apps are not able to update to the latest versions. Sonos: i get 1.04 as newest, om the forum Toonz announced the 1.05 version already.
Calendar: 1.1.3....

Post by Xavier »

Hi,

I upgraded last night about 15 minutes after the release.
Sinds the upgrade my Toon reboots spontanius and/or the screen freezes.
In some cases I need to do a powercycle.
Reboot/screen freeze/ powercycle needs to be done in most of the time about 2 or 3 minutes after the system has been loaded.

Anybody any idea on how to fix this?

Please help, thanks!

Look at this link, here you can see on what version the apps are. Toon Store use this link also.

Report if this works for you.
Thinking about this,.. maybe I need to create a check script which checks that xml config file...

I'm hearing more and more of this issue. Looks like the qt-gui.xml file is being stuffed with useless information somehow. when it's larger as 10-15kb, rename the file (just put a _ in front of the name or something like that) and reboot the toon.

I already did the upgrade on a Toon1 (from 4.19.7 to 5.0.4), went OK.
Upgrade on my Toon2 (from 4.22.7 to 5.0.4) resetted the tiles automatically. no reason found for that.

After upgrading none of the custom apps including ToonStore are installed.
Is that normal after an upgrade, since this is my first?

Edit: Resource files I guess need to be placed manually?
Edit2: After placing the resource file still nothing shows up. Any tips to get the ToonStore and custom apps going again?
Edit3: Manually installed the ToonStore app and had to remove and reinstall all other apps.
Edit4: All working now!

I could see the following while upgrading to 5.0.4:

Same here custom apps not installed, also when trying in the time window of the "crash" I need to complete the Configuration settings again.
For calander for example I see an extra file (settings.json) where the ICAL links need to be placed in....

Yeah I noticed this, but dropbear installed normally from the same source.

Hmm after looking again I noticed the requested app installation url where bad in your log.

Could you please run this on your Toon and post the result? It does not install anything, just prints some info. Maybe the problem is gone already, but there could be something else.

Code: Select all

#!/bin/sh
SOURCEFILES="http://files.domoticaforum.eu/uploads/Toon"
for a in toonstore `find /qmf/qml/apps -type l | sed 's#/qmf/qml/apps/##' | grep -v toonstore`
do
		latest=`curl -Nks $SOURCEFILES/apps/ToonRepo.xml | grep $a | grep folder | sed 's/.*<folder>\(.*\)<\/folder>.*/\1/'`
		filename=`curl -Nks $SOURCEFILES/apps/$latest/Packages.gz | zcat | grep Filename| cut -d\  -f2`
		APPURL=$SOURCEFILES/apps/$latest/$filename
		echo $APPURL
done
just put this in a 'test.sh' and run it or just paste it in your toon command line
