Don't know exactly when this started happening but I just get an empty list when retrieving information for Venlo. This worked fine before. Is there a log or anything that I can look into to see what happens?

Not really, probably means the website of your provider isn't working or they changed it.
Which waste collector are you using?

That same address does not work for me :-(
Could it be that the venlo.nl started forcing HTTPS and that that does not work for my toon but it does for yours?

Code: Select all

wget http://www.venlo.nl/trash-removal-calendar/ical/5914LW/338

Using the app store I can install other stuff just fine. I can reach other site from toon:

Code: Select all

ping www.google.com
PING www.google.com (172.217.17.100): 56 data bytes
64 bytes from 172.217.17.100: seq=0 ttl=56 time=13.482 ms

64 bytes from 172.217.17.100: seq=2 ttl=56 time=20.735 ms
I have removed and reinstalled WasteCollection (from the Toon store), apparently without errors:

Code: Select all

hmm, I tested on a Toon 2 only, could be that that one has newer ssl root certificates than Toon 1.
Will have a look later this week (first Germany - Holland :-) )
I probably need to update the tsc-certificates package with updated root certificates.

to be continued......

How does your folder /etc/ssl/certs look like?

This is actually the CA that venlo.nl is using so , I assume the problem lies elsewhere...

slowly running out of options. Which version of wget do you have installed?
