toonTemp : show external Temperature sensors on toon

It would be nice if toonTemp could also retrieve sensordata from HomeAssistant.
Should be possible, the only thing currently is that there is a need for a longlived token to use to be able to access the API from home assistant.

Maybe someone with some coding skills that could take a look at this, if this is viable?

This will show you how to read the sensors in HA, what you were actually asking us retrieving sensor data from HA..... which makes no sense at all.

Ik you anly want to show your outside temperature on the toon display, you can follow the diy manual of this topic or buy such unit at Marktplaats.

Since my external temp sensor is attached to the open therm module am I right to assume that I can use the domoticz idx value?
If so, can you indicate how I can retrieve the correct idx of the temp sensor?

if you run Domoticz as a system, look into settings to retreive the IDX of your sensor.

Looking at your question i do not think you run a Domoticz system.

You are correct, I don't have a Domoticz system.

My hope was that it would possible to retrieve the data of the outdoor temperature sensor because it is connected to the OpenTherm module and Toon is also retrieving various data from that module.
If that isn't possible, no big deal.
