Harmony 1000

Post by Luc21 »

Hi everybody,

I'm using xanura with the HCB and at the moment the ABX1 remote with the RIX RF receiver. Recently I've bought a Harmony 1000 with RF extender which I also want to use with my xanura equipment. This is not directly possible, I will need a device which converts my RF signals,and I don't know what to use;
a IR2743 from marmitek (cheap but only 16 channels I believe)
a RFXcom device (Does this work directly with the harmony?)
a JBmedia device
a new RFIX from Xanura (will this accept the harmony signal)

Which one is the best, it would be nice not to have a delay in the signal.

Hopefully somebody can answer my question, thanks ahead!

You may try as alternative the TM13 it will receive the RF signals and convert it into X10 commands available on the powerline to your HCB. It will handle only one housecode ... if you prefer more housecodes and reliability use the Xanura alternative IRIX35.

The other alternative is to use the IR based receiver from Marmitek or Xanura

Be aware that you may experience some time delays.

When you set the TM13 to housecode P it will receive all housecodes A-P.

Hi Luc21,

I think the only option is to use the IR7243IR because the RF from the Harmony 1000 can only communicate with the RF extender.
The extender wil sendt the commands via IR to the IR7243IR.
When U set the IR7243IR on house code P it will sent all the house codes.

Regards Paul.
