Hi Ard,
And the luck we need :-)
thanks for the topic, but these commands won't help very much.
You need the complete protocol to make it work!

If you send it to pieter, he can put it on the files section. Or me for that matter..

Yes.. would be nice to have a RFXcom receiver/transmitter that could decode this protocol and put it into homeseer. If I look at my thermostat what is possible than I has a lot of possibilities. I'll just keep on dreaming ;-)

Hi Ard,
I updated your first topic and added the Opentherm protocol version 2.2 PDF document.
Thanks for the specifications, this will help a lot with opening up opentherm!

@erik: can you put it in the filesection?

Or you can use a Remeha GateWay; I'm still curious to know if it works with 3rd party OpenTherm boilers and thermostats too.

@MindBender: I read up on that Remeha gateway. It looks very interesting and I would be willing to use it. But from what I understand it only works with a Remeha thermostat and uses it own software. I was hoping (hint hint hint) that maybe RFXcom or another company would make such a gate themselves for reading/writing on that protocol. I think it would be great to have this integrated in homeseer. Also I would be willing to use more devices on that protocol (like a air conditioning) if it would all work. I also think it would really sell btw, because in these times most of us want to control their heating in a more advanced way.

Since I can't program and have no technical skills whatsoever I will have to revert to the 'teleprogram' option of my chronoterm. Doesn't mean I can't dream about nice things in the future.

Elektuur had an article about opentherm a while ago.

from their site:

http://www.elektor.nl/artikelen-als-pdf ... 8315.lynkx

Opentherm-monitor

Published in Elektor number 453, juli 2001

I still have it somewhere... built it, only to find out that opentherm != opentherm :P

Perhaps with the above opentherm protocol you can get it to work!
I have the circuitboard as well but was not able to get it work with the closedtherm protocol :-)
this is the schematic

I have also the circuit board. But I stopped at decoding the Manchester protocol. I only receive 001100011000000011001000 and so many pages full.

I had also contacted Elektor, but the person who has designed it left, and nobody else knew something about it. And the don't have any software sample anymore.

I had found a document once from the designers of the Buderus (Nefit) micro controller, but can't find it anymore [}:)]

Still searching though...

Wait... what's this?
