Whatever provider you take you normally only get 1mbit up. Even the ultra adsl i tried from xs4all (20mbit down) has 1mbit up. Didn't work though could only get around 12mbit, they blaimed cabling and other *BS* but my dad lives further away from the main line and he has 20mbit down (yes 2mb/s min.) and he lives in a house thats from before the WWII.. go figure.

I tried bonding 2 asdsl lines, but i would never get 24mbit (2x 12) or 2mbit up in this case, since it would only do 2mbit up with 2 connections not 1..

In Niuewegein 75 meters from my house they have 24 mbit up and down for 40 euro...

i have adsl from xs4all 8 down 1 up can get more the 6 down

Thats fiber i would presume, there laying down that for my new house too. I would hope at least 10up 10down, then i would be happy. Then you can host all the webcams you want without having troubles watching your hdtv content streaming from the internet, or something similar.

bad thing about this is it's not available for every one...

it's only for the rental houses from "Portaal"

they have also large accounts 100/100 mbit for 80 euro.
I hope end of this year i will get VDSL

I'm still not sure what to buy..
I like to use it with Homeseer...there is no good support for IP cameras in Homeseer at the moment...

for the time being i will go for the basic camera.

I bought a ELRO CS97S about 2 months ago:

But i wasn't quite pleased about the signal quality; much noise when the distance between monitor and camera is more then let's say 6 meters. So be sure to check that when you consider to buy your stuff...

I will test it first.
the distance will be not more then 4 meter
they are talking about 300 meter is open area.

Videofrank website is also very clear about this topic,
He is saying max 1 wall.

Right guys, be very careful with every camera you want to buy, specially the IP Camera's and also the wireless ones.. Examine the specifications very good and Google all you can to find information and user experiences about the camera. Over the last ten years I had a lot of camera's and the major part was crap!
