Just ordered one.

I considered buying one through the Popcorn website, but adding VAT, custom duties and shipping costs makes it more expensive then buying it here (Not to mention the hassle you have to go through when your unit breaks down).

I ordered a popcorn A100 on ibood at the beginning of september. I had to wait several weeks before it arrived and the one I got was defect. This ended in a very slow mailconversation with ibood to get the popcorn fixed. Sometimes they don't even react on my mail. In december I send it back to get it fixed. Until now I'm waiting to get it back. When asking how long I have to wait they say: where working on it.

Price is good on ibood, but when you need support it really sucks.

Wow that is very bad service by www.ibood.com.
If the Popcorn is as good as the Tvix 6500 (I guess) then you have a great device!

I have the Conceptronic CFULLHDMA. This is a great device and in my opinion better than the Popcorn or the Tvix. Great support also..

Based on the problems I had with the popcorn and the Tvix. restarts when watching a movie is very frustrating, but happened 1 out of 10 times. Output Quality of the popcorn was also not that good as the CFULLHDMA. And the most important, support on the CFULLHDMA is good. You will run into some trouble with these devices and in that case support is essential. Conceptronic is publishing new firmware on a regular bases and there is also a beta program.

I have no such problems with TVIX6500, all is running very smoothly. I think it has something to do with upgraded firmware.
And I agree service is essential. Before this I had a windows mediacenter, glad to get rit of it, this is much better for me :-)
