Tv guide for pronto tsu9600 and 9800

Post by marco747 »

Hi everybody,
I'm new to the pronto but bought myself a tsu9800. There're a lot of scripts available for the pronto's so that got me started initially. I'm slowly learning prontoscript but there's a lot more involved then just the javascript. The O'reilly book is just a good start but nearly enough to make modules. So I'm looking here for somehelp.
I've been looking for a script that would read an xml file from xmltv which I store on my webpage and gets updated every day. It holds info for 10 channels and 2 days. It's about 300k , so not too big. Now I want to load this into the pronto and use as a tvguide. Is there anybody who has already written something similar?

Greets

I've made a small script in PHP that will scrape the Dutch TV guide.
I'm using this to show the TV guide on my HStouch.
Why scrape? Till now I have not found any Dutch TV guide that will produce a RSS feed.
I do not have a pronto, and do not know if this setup will work on it.

Maybe this one will give better to handle output, it's written in Java, so it should work on all platforms:

According to this thread, it will be a hell of a job!
