HomeEasy (EU) HE-303

Post by Barlow »

I have purchased a couple of HomeEasy (EU) HE-303 remote PIRs and although they function well in conjunction with the EU receivers, the RFXCOM receiver is unable to detect it as an input device. I have the latest HE EU capable receiver module firmware and RFreceiver software. Nothing is being picked up unfortunately. Anyone else who has experience this or is familiar with this particular device?

This week the receiver firmware has been updated for the HE303 and HE403 motion sensors. The timing used by those sensors is different from other HE devices.

Users having a receiver firmware version 2B, 2C, 2D or 2E can have the update for free if they send me the receiver module (without interface and without antenna) together with a self addressed and stamped envelop.
Send an email to rfxcom support for address details.

The firmware updates are listen on the Capabilities page on the web site. Click the Capabilities link on the receiver or transmitter page.

I was looking around a bit for KAKU/HomeEasy stuff to go with my newly orderd: http://www.rfxcom.com/transmitters.htm# ... erReceiver
Karwei has some of this equipment but it all seams to be the EU-version, as I understand the RFXCXOM receiver has no trouble with current software-versions, but the transmitter does?
I'd like to use some of the plugin-adapters to control the aircleaner(huisafzuiging) and switch it off during the summer when the windows are open anyways.

About HomeEasy:
The RFXmitter is able to control HomeEasy UK and EU units.
The standard transmitter can only control HomeEasy UK.

Ah clear, so I need to stay clear from HomeEasy EU-spec and go for KAKU(if I understand correctly protocol KAKU == protocol HomeEasy UK-spec) Concerning the transmitter-part that is :)
Now of to find out if XPL under linux is as easy as heyu regarding X10 and as of next week RFXCOM:)
