Two things that can be better.
capacitive screen instead of the resistive touch screen
SSD instead of the 1,8" HD

any price info?

Agree with your remarks, the SSD is easy to swap but the screen....
If you look at the video it seems to react quite well to typing with fingers.

I have had a few 7"video recorder/players that we put on the side of Filmcamera's when we had little space. They have been around the world, in the desert, jungle and on boats and they still work well. They are sensitive but well build.

I will go for this device when.
Power consumption is low and Apple tablet is not that hot.
