sharing system online

All,

Since we all want to share a file or 2 now and then. I wanted something for linux to just be able to give out to accounts (people that are known) to upload files on my site and which can be downloaded anonymous via the web (and be linked with a url) however, i've not seen any tools like that.

I could set up a ftp server, with accounts. But then i need to create accounts for everyone locally on my machine which i do not prefer. Strange thing that the wiki does not allow for uploading files. Although i can imagine why (people uploading complete movie rar files)

Does anyone have a suggestion for this? All the things i saw on sourceforget are pretty crappy.

I can make something on this forum but I have to watch my data transfer.
I have 5GB a month and sometimes I'm already very close. So all the attachments and filesharing will increase this.
Also members and pageviews are growing.
Let me see what I can do.

I have 250gb a month, so for me its not a big problem. I also have another host which has no limit, but i never needed it though.

Too bad you dont know linux, there are tons of forums with attachments for it. That i can host for you, windows i cannot.

I have a host with 600GB storage and 6000GB traffic limit (you could also call that 'no limit' unless you are running a **** site . Price: $8/month

Most of them don't have Microsoft ASP and ASP.net.
I pay now like 2.90 euro a month for 5GB Data traffic ASP/MYSQL/email server etc and the Domainname.

Made a sharing system.. its on http://files.binkey.nl/filesadmin/ you can then find the files on http://files.binkey.nl if you need to send some files, just msg me and i will give you the userid/pwd for the admin menu. There you can create dirs/delete, upload.
