New Dome Camera

Post by TANE »

Today I have installed my new Dome camera (No IR lights)
Camera is switching to Black & whit when there is not so much light.
There is also some gain up on the camera

see the camera specs at the end. (Dutch)

I have to play with the setting for the correct picture.
The first picture is in dark with only some street lights..
second one..front door lights are turned on...I have to turn this one to color in the settings.
The total darkens pictures are okay.

PS the pictures are a bit more compressed to do the upload

Thank you for the link.
Are you using the Axis video server in combination of this cam?
If so, what frame rate and video size can you get with it?

wifi: dont forget, chak has a light at the door too.. this really increases the look at night time. I always made the mistake of "just" taking a webcam but it always is blergh at night. So be sure you have a light source or IR.

Hi snelvuur. Thank you for the info.
I have a streetlight (lantaarnpaal) near the front of the house, and I'm sure this will give enough light for a "clear" picture at night.
What could be a problem is that the dome camera will be to close to the person standing at the front door.
If this is the case, I will need to move the cam to the wall just above the door, and mount it vertically.
By doing it this way I will not be able to see the persons face :(
